Communication is derived from the Latin word "Communis" which means common. So, communication means commonness with other persons. From cradle to grave, each person is connected with communication.
Some scholars have given different definitions regarding communication.
Murphy & Peak expressed as: "Communication is a two way process of exchanging ideas or information between human beings"
Newman and Summer say: "Communication is an exchange of facts, ideas, opinions or emotions by two or more persons"
So from the above discussion we say that communication is the process of transmitting information from one person to another. From cradle to grave each person is connected with communication.
